If I’m getting tired of the NFL’s scheduling mechanics, something is really wrong. Five games before Sunday leaves us with a really weak Sunday slate, and it’s just unnecessary. But the picks must go on!

Only three weeks left, and I’m expecting the real postseason contenders to handle their business in a big way this week. Also, Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers are too old, and it’s going to show.

We’re in the home stretch, featuring lots of divisional rematches and important games for postseason seeding. Who do we need to take seriously? (Hint: not J.J. McCarthy)
